It doesn't get anymore heart-warming...

On the way back from Walmart the other night, ZuZu made up her own song and started singing in the van:

God, God, God, I love God
God, God, God, I love God
I love God
I love God
I love God...

At which point, Moses pipes up from the back of the van with:

Hey ZuZu, do you know what? If you ask Jesus to be your best friend, you will go to heaven when you're big enough.

ZuZu: Okay.

The conversation pretty much ended there, but what AWESOME kids! First ZuZu just starts praising the Lord, and then Moses witnesses to her. I can't wait to see what plans God has for them!

"I wuv tumbwing"

Last night was ZuZu's first tumbling class- wow, is she cute. I mean, I already knew that, but wow. She is CUTE.

She was a little nervous after we got there:

But when the teacher came out and got the kids, she walked in there like a big girl, and didn't look back:

I just knew the bar was going to be a big hit!

Jumping was fun, too:

as was climbing through the tunnel:

She got a sticker on her cheek from her teacher:

We practiced some straddles when we got home- this isn't the best pic, but seriously, this girl can almost do the splits!

So proud of my littler tumbler! She "wuved" it!

AH, summer! (part 2)

Sunday was another day full of fun with a pool party at the cousins'. Does it get any better than a pool party with your cousins in the summer?

Moses is such a good little "swimmer" this year!

Does this picture not scream, "I am princess ZuZu, and I will grant you one picture."???

Hosanna finally got a turn in the pool, but she wasn't exactly sure what she thought:

ZuZu, on the other hand, knew exactly what she thought about Hosanna being in "ZuZu's hippo":

Sisterly jealousy. It starts so early!

AH, summer! (part 1)

It is really starting to feel like summer around here! And I am not just talking about the heat...

Tee-ball kicked off on Saturday. Wow, can I tell a difference between Moses' first year and this year! He seems to understand the game a little bit better (and hey Grampy- did you notice he isn't quite the "cross-country runner" this year?!)

He seems to understand that you field the ball and don't just throw it randomly:

Check out this stance (and the game face)! He connected with the ball on his first at-bat, for a "home run"!

Crossing the plate:

Later after a thunderstorm, we planted some new flowers to replace some of Moses' that had died:

And- WONDER OF ALL WONDERS- Moses picked up a LIVE BEETLE. I cannot communicate how HUGE this is. A boy with sensory perception disorder exploring nature in all its fullness. SO COMPLETELY AWESOME. Moses' reaction: "His legs tickle!" :)

ZuZu, of course, has to do everything her brother does:

And if that wasn't enough, Moses and ZuZu decided to stick their heads/faces in water puddles after the storm:

ZuZu had a blast running the sidewalk singing a song from "Tangled." Her version: "running... racing... running.. racing... chasing... running... running..."

Then Moses picked up a centipede-caterpillar-thingy!

He then put it in his sister's hair. Is it strange that I am proud of that, too?

Last day of school...

It's really hard to believe that three years have already gone by... Look at what a big boy he has become! I am so proud of him and everything he has overcome in the last few years. He has learned some lessons about the world and people that no preschooler should have to learn. But his happiness and joy (and love for Jesus!) are stronger than the those who tried to get him down. And the other day, his occupational therapist said he has met ALL of her short- AND long-term goals!

Moses- I am SO, SO PROUD OF YOU!

LAST day of school:

Going into the classroom one more time...

After school, I sneaked one last picture of him inside his classroom (and tried not to sob)...

We took a walk to DQ after school for lunch. Well, we walked. Moses always prefers to run...

Another reason I am so proud of him... he loves his sisters SO much!

The other day, he went to a movie with a friend. When he got back, Hosanna was SO excited to see him. He was cuddling her, and I asked, "Did you miss your sister?" His answer: "I missed all two of my sisters!"

Wow, is he gonna be a good daddy one day, or what? Considering he has been telling us for MONTHS that he is going to be a "firefighter daddy" and have "12 sons," I'm guessing God has gifted him was some pretty awesome paternal instincts!Posted by Picasa

Look how far we've come...

Moses started preschool when he was 2. It was a great choice- just one morning a week for a couple hours- but that first day, I wasn't totally sure. You can see from the pics that he was NOT a happy boy on that first morning...

Screaming in the dining room after I got him dressed...

still crying in the foyer....

He calmed down a bit after we let him change his shirt...

Who is that young dad?!

And who is that skinny lady?!

While blogger is letting me post some pics, it isn't letting me choose them from different folders... so I will post our last day of school picture shortly!
