A boy and his uncle

My brother (who lives in NYC) came through here yesterday for a visit. It was great to see him! AND, Moses enjoyed it immensely. I wasn't sure how it would go. Moses doesn't see my brother very often, and he doesn't really like to be around "new" people. This was his reaction in April:


But as you can see, it didn't take Moses long to warm up this time!








He even let Uncle Jarrett comb his hair! He doesn't even let me (or Daddy, or MaMa...)do that!




Moses was very attached by the end of the visit, and wouldn't sit in his own chair at supper, but instead wanted to sit on Jarrett's lap. He was would call Jarrett's name to get his attention, which he doesn't do with most people. I was afraid he would cry when Jarrett left, but we quickly put in Elmo and his attention was diverted. But when Elmo was over, he walked to the front door and said, "Bye. Bye-bye." Jarrett was long gone, so it kinda broke my heart.

And what do you think was one of the first things he mentioned this morning? Yep. Jarrett. (You better come back for another visit soon!)
