Goodbye, summer...

Okay, that title is a little melodramatic. But doesn't it seem like kids are getting less and less summer? Moses had his last t-ball game last night; today he turns in his papers for the library's summer reading program. All before July 4. Doesn't that seem a little... well, EARLY?

Moses' t-ball game last night was so fun. It was on a different diamond in town (because there are still light poles down on the regular diamond from the storm/tornado/hurricane that came through here). For some reason, the attitude was so much more relaxed than normal (and I didn't realize that t-ball could get much more relaxed). But people were actually laughing and talking to each other- something which, surprisingly, doesn't happen a lot in this small river town.

The spectators were there in fully support:

(If you look closely at the right side of Hosanna's sunglasses, you can see a little ZuZu peeking at her!)

And then there is Moses. WOW, what a different a year makes! He connects with the ball, he fields, he throws to first base.... not that there is actually anyone there that can catch the ball, but he is "getting" it!

Just look at this stance:

It's a hit!

And he's home!

I think he looks like he is ready to skip t-ball and go right to St. Louis!
