"The Story Jesus Saved Us"

Moses is quite the proliferate little story writer/illustrator. Below is his latest. The quotes are his explanation, the parentheticals are my notes.

This is "The Story Jesus Saved Us":

"God was holding the world, but..."

"Sin was in the middle of getting to God. God is holding His son, and I'm saying "noooooo!" because we can't get across."

(Let's take a closer look- love Jesus' beard!)

(And this is ZuZu, Mommy, and Moses. Love Moses' arms as he is yelling "NO")

(The pit is labeled "sin")

"But, before I notice it, Jesus took me across."

(Jesus taking Moses across. Love the red indicating movement!)

(We are happy now because we get to go across)

"Now all of us are across, but Satan was at the other end, and then God hit him with his legs and he fell into the fire. The sin turned into fire because God turned it into fire so Satan will die."

(This is the motion of Satan- all black- falling into the pit of "sin that becomes fire")

(Jesus and those of us with him are all angry at Satan...)

"The next story after school is when Satan's people come and fight us back. But not tonight. The End."

(Apparently, there is a Part II of this book, to be completed after school today. Can't wait to see that one!)
