Moses
Moses has pretty much been an angel lately-- at least most of the time. He continues to amaze me every day. I tested him on his letters yesterday morning. He knows all 26 upper case letters, 22 lower case letters, and the sounds of 20 letters. I am SO proud of him. He just loves to learn!
And his memory-- I can't even describe it. But here is a good example. After Moses was born, we used to sing a little bath-time song to him when it was time for his bath. We did this almost every day for the first 9 months of his life, and he would get so excited when he heard the song. After we moved here (around 10 months), he stopped getting so excited and we just gradually stopped singing the song. When we stopped, he wasn't even talking, and I doubt if he was even 1 yet. Fast forward to this week. I mentioned that it was time to take his bath-- and he started singing the song! I was fairly speechless.
He will be 2 1/2 in just 2 weeks!

Baby #2
Baby Smith was 15 weeks on Sunday! I've been feeling the baby for a little over a weeknow. I can't believe that we are now less than 5 weeks away from knowing if it is a boy or girl! The time dragged with Moses-- guess having a toddler makes it go that much faster!

Me
I did finally find a dress for the Gala. I found it at my all-time FAVORITE store-- Bergners (or Carson Pirie Scott, or Yonkers-- depending on where you live). And here is where I really don't get the garage sale mentality. Besides the fact that garage sale clothes are-- well, not new-- I really don't get why it is so much cheaper as to make it worthwhile. Bergners always has amazing clothes on sale, and there are coupons every week. And then there is the yellow-dot merchandise, which can be as low as 2 to 4 dollars. I've gotten Ralph Lauren shirts for $4, and Jones New York pants for $7. And all without digging through other peoples' old stuff!
And then I hit the bargain of all bargains with this dress. Yes, I actually found a formal maternity dress. In my size. It is amazing and exactly what I wanted. And the price? Well, it was on sale, and then marked down even more. The total price with tax-- $6.02. Incredible! I absolutely cannot wait to wear it. So of course then I HAD to buy a new scarf to give it a little more spunk than the one it came with. Anyway, it's a faux wrap dress with a pleated skirt. The pleats look so cute on a pregnant tummy!

Politics
I am going to start a several-part series tomorrow (Thursday) on the real facts of Obama's voting record on abortion. There are so many myths and misconceptions out there, and I really felt burdened to write something a little more detailed than normal about it. If you would like the entire post in a Word document, you can email me at vulawalum@yahoo.com. That is an address I have set aside for this purpose alone, and will likely discontinue it after the election. Anyway, it is something that I hope will get passed around-- especially to those Christians who are on the fence and don't realize that Obama is more pro-abortion than even Hilary Clinton.

I can't wait to read!! I'll send you an email...I recently read an article about how Obama has four times voted against giving life saving measures to babies who have survived abortions! I was horrified!! So glad you are smart where I am not!
I'll be talking about that!
