Conversations with Moses

Trying to have a conversation with Moses can be difficult. There are times when he doesn't really like to talk. One of my "go-to" questions with him is usually "What was your favorite part about school today?" or "What was the best part of today?" So tonight I decided to mix it up a little bit while he was coloring and drawing pictures. Here were some of his answers:

Q: How old is mommy?

A: 50?

Q: What do mommies do?

A: Feed Hosannas [I contemplated not including this one, but what the heck...]

Q: What is your favorite thing to do with Mommy?

A: When Daddy isn't here we watch movies and eat out there [the living room]

Q: What is Mommy's favorite thing to eat?

A: Hotdogs

At this point, Moses inserted the following while we were talking and he was drawing...

Moses: Mommy, am I busy? Say yes.

Me: Yes.

Moses: Okay. Then wait until I'm done. [HA!]

Q: What is Mommy's favorite thing to do?

A: Pick up [um... NO.]

Q: Moses, what do you want to be when you grow up?

A: A fighter-fighter [He meant firefighter, but it came out "fighter-fighter" tonight]

Usually he tells me that he wants to be a "firefighter daddy." He says that when he is a firefighter, he will have 12 sons. I also overheard this one time:

"Hosanna, when I am bigger, I will hold you and hold you."

AW! Melt my heart!
