- Moses watched "Peter Pan" for the first time this weekend. Ever since then, he's been pretending to be Peter in "Liverland."
- The cover of this week's "Weekly Standard" is a caricature of Rahm Emanuel crashing buildings in Chicago. Moses asked, "Is he a bad guy?" Drawing on Rahm's well-known use of the F word, I said, "Yes, Moses. He uses bad words." Moses then asked, "Can you teach me how he uses bad words?" Um.... NO.
- This last one isn't a conversation, but it's still a funny story. On Sunday, we visited K's mom's church. Now, in our old church, the kids stay in the sanctuary until after the songs; but at church this weekend, the kids stay in until after the offering. So when the offering plate came by, Moses looked at me a little funny. Then his little hand went into the plate and he started to take out a five dollar bill! I wanted to die! But I whispered "no!" and stifled the laughter. Ugh- a pastor's son stealing from the offering plate! :)
Don't forget to leave a comment on this post. If I use your idea for Fun Friday, I will send you a $5 gift card to Starbucks. There have only been a few comments here and a few on facebook, so at this point your chances are pretty good!

Your family sounds like such fun. :)
We like make your own personal pan pizza night. I make the dough rounds and put each ingredient in a bowl and let them go to town. Then, we do decorate your own cookies, same format. Not healthy, but they have fun!
Btw, Aunt Laura is Laura Kneeland. :)
I am not into scrapbooking, but I plan to steal this idea from a friend. Print a bunch of photos of the family and let each child do a special page. My friend has younger kiddos too. She puts out the special cut-out (or whatever they're called) and stickers, the tape dots and lets them go to town. Do this a few times a year, and they will each have a little scrapbook by the end of the year.
Another idea: If you sponsor a child from Compassion International or World Vision, have an evening where you make and eat food from the country the child lives in, play a game from that country, then write a letter/draw pictures for a package to be sent to the child. Take a special photo to commemorate the evening, then include that photo in the package to your child.
My kiddos are eager to get outside, so I think on Thursday, we will try to bring the outdoors in! Bath time includes blowing bubbles, squirt guns, bath crayons (like sidewalk chalk), maybe just put swim suits on to play in tub instead of an actual bath. Lunch is a picnic in the living room, get creative with the food (outdoor theme...ants on a log, smores, broccoli "trees" etc, or fix their favorite summer time foods.) Play some outdoor games inside (make hopscotch out of construction paper, draped up a sheet to hit wiffle balls into, plant seeds or small plants in cups to start a garden you can transplant later. Summer in February sounds fun!
I'm going to Sara' house....is there any rule about being over 50? If there is, then there shouldn't be!
My name is Peg Kucharz - just so ya know when I show up. :)
