We had a weekend packed full of fun. So much fun, in fact, that I am going to break it up into a couple posts.
On Saturday, Moses had a party at the library for his completion of the summer reading program. He "read" 55 different books this summer! I was very proud of him and the amount of time he spends with books every day.
Unfortunately, the poor little guy got it in his head somehow that we were going to the park-- which is a few blocks down from the library. His heart was broken, and he cried. Of course, that then broke his Mommy's heart, and she promised a trip to the park after the party.
That didn't quite satisfy him, so it was several minutes before he would go inside. And then that was overwhelming to him. He is a child of order and calm-- and when there are 30 other kids running around, there is no order or calm. So we were only inside for a few minutes. But here he is checking out all of his prizes:
And then the park. Can you tell he perked up at this point?

More later on the Sweetcorn Festival, sensitive ears, and a 5-year anniversary (and the best anniverary gift ever).
