Missionary Moses

I'm back from a short hiatus-- we traveled to IN this weekend, where I lectured at a university, and the driving was so long and tedious that I didn't really feel like blogging when we got back. But pictures of a reunion between old friends will be forthcoming. :)

For now, a cute story about Moses must suffice (I need to give my mom and grandma something new to look at :)). Moses is in the stage where, when he gets the hang of a new word, he says it over and over and over about 1000 times a day. Yesterday, that word was "Bible." He has been yelling it randomly over the last 24 hours.

After church yesterday, we walked to Dairy Queen to get lunch and ate it out in our front yard. The high-school (and possibly older) boys next door were playing basketball. Moses kept inching his way toward their yard, and yelling "BIBLE!" at them. It was hilariously cute. And made his Mommy and Daddy proud. He obviously isn't ashamed of the Gospel!

Here's the little monkey himself, playing his harmonica (we gave him a recorder this weekend; yes, we like torturing our ears....):
